Nepal is a kingdom in the Himalayas. It lies between two big countries, India & China. The total area of Nepal is 147881 sq. Km with an East to West length of about 800Km. and a North to South width of about 90-230Km. Nepal is located 26° 26' north - 30° 26' north latitude & 80° 03' east - 88° 15' west longitude.
Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) is the grant-making arm of Lions Clubs International. LCIF is Lions helping Lions serve others. It's the only Lions' foundation that serves the entire world and all 1.4 million Lions.
We offer affordable, quality-based trekking Programs to our volunteers on completion of their assigned volunteering service. Whether they are in group or individual our club organized different tours and treks or any other adventure activities in association with our local trekking agencies or through our trained, experienced local trekking guides. While doing so, our volunteers will be able to observe the traditional lifestyle of Nepalese families and enjoy fascinating views of beautiful landscapes, show-capped peaks and diverse culture of Nepal.
Requirements to be Lions Volunteer
No age bar an applicant should have willingness to help the people of Nepal and neplease society and motivative, self confidance and feel comfortable with children.
Phase I - Orientation (2 weeks- Applicable only for long term volunteers)
In the first part of the orientation phase, participants will be given an introduction to the programs schedule, health care, cultural and social 'Dos' and 'Don'ts' and interactions programs. During this phase the participants will be provided the necessary preparation for their volunteer works and the areas to be placed.
Phase II - Program Participation(1-5 months)
In this phase volunteers will work at their placement site as per their skills, interest, and the needs of the club. Our club will place the volunteers as per their desired living situation (rural, semi urban and urban) and they will live with a local family.
Program Cost
350$ to 1200$
- The program fee covers:
- Administration charges,
- Language and Cultural Training,
- Accommodation, Meals with host Family,
- Program Supervision,
- Airport pickup and drop
The program fee does not cover
- Your flights (domestic and international),
- Nepal entry visa (90 days tourist visa+ Visa extension),
- Insurance Related,
- Airport departure taxes,
- Your personal expenses
