Dr. Nawal J. Malu, from Auragabad, India was elected to serve as international director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 101st International Convention, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, June 29 through July 3, 2018.


Director Malu is an asthma and allergy specialist and has devoted the last 30 years in the field of allergy within India. He is a member of the Indian Medical Association and currently serves as managing director for Yashoda hospital.


He has been a member of the Aurangabad Mid Town Lions Club since 1989 and has held a number of positions within the association including Multiple District Lions Quest chairperson, Multiple District Retention chairperson and editor for the district bulletin.


In recognition for his service he has received five International President’s Awards and four International President’s Leadership Awards. He has also received an Excellence Award of Editor and has accepted a 100% Attendance Award for every year since he join the association.


In addition to his Lions activities, he has been instrumental in the development and day to day operations of several clinics including the Lion Blood Band, the Lions Eye Hospital, and two ICCU on wheels.


Director Malu and his spouse Dr. Geeta Nawal Malu, also a Lion are both Melvin Jones Fellows.
