J. P. Singh, from New Delhi, India was elected to serve as international director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 101st International Convention, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, June 29 through July 3, 2018.


Director Singh has worked within the e-commerce and event management industries for the past 10 year. He is a proprietor and MD within the field. He also runs a free educational trust and is active in many community organizations including serving as vice president of the All India Veterans Hockey Association and a member of the Delhi District Cricket Association.


A Lion since 1989, Director Singh has been an active member of New Delhi South Lions Club since 1992. He has held a number of offices within the association including GLT area leader, multiple district GLT coordinator and multiple district Leadership Development chairperson.


Director Singh’s service has led to the establishment of two state-of-the-art Lions Blood Banks in Delhi which have collected more than 250,000 units of blood to date. He is also a trustee at Shahbad Lions Eye Hospital.

In recognition of his service Director Singh has received numerous awards including 10 International President’s Awards and an International President’s Leadership Award. He is the recipient of 17 International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, 10 club extensions, has been honored as Lion of the Year on multiple occasions. Director Singh is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.

Director Singh and his wife are both long time Lions.
